Position title: Digital support consultant

Commitment: Short term contract. Part-time – 1 day a week, approx. 2 months followed by approximately 3hrs week for up to six months.

Women’s Environmental Leadership Australia (WELA) works to empower, support and fund women’s leadership for our environment and climate action in order to transform Australia’s response to these crises.
For the past four years WELA has run a highly successful leadership development program for women in the environment and climate movements. This year, we are undertaking a significant expansion of our work to support women’s leadership for our environment.
The WELA team includes the Strategic Director (0.8FTE), Administration Officer (0.2FTE), the program facilitator and our volunteer steering committee.
About the position:
WELA is seeking assistance to expand our digital support and engagement pathways.
As our programs and networks expand, we have a number of new digital requirements. We are seeking a contractor to assist us to establish the next stage of our tech stack that will assist us to work efficiently and engage broader audiences in our work.
The Digital Support Consultant will assess our current tech stack, make recommendations on and implement any additional needs or upgrades, review and advise on our security arrangements and processes, develop guidelines and develop and deliver training for WELA staff and steering committee members on use of the various platforms.
You will also develop and deliver training for our growing SLACK community, welcoming and supporting new community members from diverse backgrounds, communities and age groups.
You will have experience working with a range of digital tools and platforms, and in delivering training for using digital tools.
You will be a confident and independent worker, who is also happy to work as part of a team. You will bring a strong sense of initiative to the role, and have good communication and organisational skills. Your strong people skills allow you to support and encourage new digital users to embrace our platforms.
